Not enough spring for an iMac 27″. [EDIT] See partial solution at bottom.

Too hard to get to standing position! Disappointed. Just got it and put a large Mac screen + laptop on it and it is a BEAR to get up. It states weight capacity up to 35 lbs but you really have to work to get the desk up. The “air filters” don’t provide much of an assist on the way up. It works fine once up, but the up and down is going to be tough to manage on a daily basis. Not worth the price with the “manual labor” involved.

Love it! This desk is perfect for me. I’m 5’8″ with back problems and usually use it for an hour in the standing position then half hour rest and back up again. It is very easy to move up and down, but, I use it with a laptop and not a desktop monitor. I’m a graduate student and a teacher, so I spend about 6 hours a day facing a screen. There is plenty of room on it for my computer and paper for notes with space to spare. The low profile is about 3 inches, so, yes, it could be hard to use if you are not tall enough or you can’t get your chair to a comfortable height. However, the top overlaps the base by about 4 inches and I’ve found that lining up the base with the edge of the desk gives you some leeway in getting your chair high enough. It is very sturdy, great quality, and does not wobble around or make a bunch of noise when writing on the surface in any position.
